Business Groups,Location

This demonstration will show you how to create your business group. You create a business group by creating an organization and classifying it as a business group. Classifying an organization as a business group enables you to enter default information for a business group. You can also record for your business group any additional information to meet your business requirements. The business group is the first organization you create and represents legislations. You must create a business group for each country in which your enterprise has a presence. It functions as an operating company or a container with other organizations under it.
After creating your business group, you define other organizations within your business group and classify them, for example as HR Organization, Company Cost Center, Bargaining Unit, GRE, and many others
Responsibility: US HRMS Manager or US Super HRMS Manager
Create a Business Group
1-    (N) Work Structures > Organization > Description, Create a new the business group
Enter IUB_AB Shoes US Private Limited in the name field. 
2- Select Division as an organization type to identify the function an organization performs, or the level of the organization in the enterprise. Enter 01-JAN-2011 in the From Date field.
3-  Select Internal to allow employee assignments to this organization. You can only assign people to an organization classified as an HR Org.
Save your work.

4- Enter Additional Information for a Business Group. Select Business Group Info to enter the predefined additional information for your business group. Enter IUBABSUSP as short name for the business group. Click in the second field to open the Business Group Info window.
5- Select Automatic as the option for employee, applicant, and contingent worker number generation. 
6- Select the following flexfield structures to define the unique identity of business entities such as jobs, positions in the enterprise:
  •         Grade Flexfield
  •         People Group Flexfield
  •         Job Flexfield
  •         Cost Allocation Flexfield
  •         Position Flexfield
  •         Competence Flexfield
7-  Select United States as the legislation code to determine the startup data you can access and the contents of some legislation-specific windows. Select USD as the currency.
 Click OK and save your work.
8- Click Others again. Select Work Day Information to enter default work pattern information for all employees in this business group. 
Note: You can enter additional information such as budget value defaults, recruitment information, and payslip information for your business group as per your business requirements.
Click OK and save your work.

Responsibility: System Administrator
Create a Responsibility
1- (N) Security > Responsibility > Define, Enter IUB Super HRMS Manager as the new responsibility name.
2- Select Oracle Human Resources in the application field to indicate the application for which you use this responsibility.
3- Enter a responsibility key name and a description for the new responsibility. Enter an effective date of 01-JAN-2011.
4-   Select Oracle Applications to signify that this responsibility applies to the professional user interface.
5- Select Standard and Oracle Human Resources in the Data Group region to determine the application database the username connects to with the specific responsibility.
6- Select US SHRMS Navigator Menu to attach this menu to the responsibility.
7- Select US HRMS Reports & Processes and Oracle Human Resources in the Request Group region to access the US reports and processes with this responsibility.
Save your work.    
Set User Profile Options
1- (N) Profile > System, Select the Display box for Responsibility and enter the name of your new responsibility. Enter HR: Security Profile as the profile name and click Find. Enter the security profile with the same name as your new business group.

Note: Oracle HRMS automatically creates a view all security profile whenever you define a new business group.  After you have set up all the work structures in your business group, you can define restricted security profiles using organization and position hierarchies, and/or payrolls.
Save work.
Enter HR:Business Group as the profile name and click Find. Select IUB AB Shoes US Private Limited as the business group associated with this responsibility. Save your work.


2- Return to the Find window and query the HR:User Type profile. Enter HR with Payroll User as the value for user type. 

Note:  With this user type you can see and enter fields on all HRMS windows
 
Save your work.
3- Return to the Find window and query for Help Localization Code profile. Enter US as the territory or vertical code as the value for user type. 
Save your work.
Note:  This value is free format to allow for vertical and custom extensions to local versions of user help.
Assign New Responsibility to an Application User
1-    (N) Security > User > Define, Query your own application username - the one you used to log on to the system. Insert your IUB Super HRMS Manager responsibility to attach the new responsibility to your user name.
Save your work and close the window.Click File - Switch Responsibility menu option to bring up the list of responsibilities you can access.  Select the new responsibility to sign on to the new business group.

Responsibility: US HRMS Manager
You must switch responsibility to define locations for your enterprise and create organizations under your business group.

Define Locations
1- (N) Work Structures > Location, Enter IUB Boston as the name of the location. Enter US office as description for the location. Select United States as the address style. Enter the following address of the location and save your work.

Click Extra Information to enter any additional information required by your enterprise.
Save your work. 

Define Organizations
1- (N) Work Structures > Organization > Description, Click New. Enter IUB AB Shoes Boston Warehouse as the organization name. Select Division as organization type. Select the location IUB Boston for the organization. Select Internal.

Save your work.
Select the HR Organization classification for the organization. Select the Enable check box to apply the classification to the organization.

Defining KFF for HR


Responsibility: System Administrator Responsibility
Define Job Key Flexfield Structure
Note: How to create Flexfiled in detail please see the related post in System Administration Tab.
1- Create Segemnt, (N) Application > Flexfield > Key > Segments.  Select an empty row in the structures region to create a new structure. Enter IUB_JOB_FLEXFIELD in the Code Field.  
Click Segments to add the following segments in the Segments Summary window.

3- create Value Sets,  using the following details:
Path: Application > Validation > Set
Place the cursor in the Value Set field and click the Value Set button to create value sets.

After defining value set again to to the segment screen and  to compile your Job key flexfield (eg; Job Flexfield).
4-  Add Values to Value Sets , (N) Application > Flexfield > Key > Values
Query the value set you defined for Job Name (IUB Job Name). Click in the Value field to add the following values in the Segment Values window:

Manager
Salesperson
Associate


Save your work


Query the dependent value set you defined for Job Code (IUB Job Code). Add the following values for each independent value:

 Defining Position Flexfield Structure
Before you can enter specific position names in HR you need to define the structure of the position name. The Positions Key flexfield helps to define employee roles within Oracle Human Resources.
Create position key flexfield structure
To define the flexfield structure, you need to create the segments and the value sets. Using the value sets, you also need to add values for the value sets each segment.
Create segments using the following details:

In this scenario the position name can be entered freely by the user and may vary from one region to another or one line of business to another.
Creating a list of values would only add to the administrative costs of maintaining positions.

List of values. 
Defining the Region segment makes it possible to identify positions by region for reporting or analysis.
To guarantee standards of data entry you want to enforce a list of values.

Add the following values for  Value Sets with the following details:
-        Name = IUB Position Name
-        Format Type = Char
-        Maximum Size = 30
-        Validation type = Independent.

Add the following values for the Region value set:
           North
           South
           East
           West

Adding Values to Value Sets
    (N) Application > Flexfield > Key > Values
Query the Value Set you defined for Region and enter the list of values given for Region. Enter values as above mentioned.

Defining CAGR Flexfield Structur
In this practice, you will learn how to define a structure and segments for the CAGR key flexfield for your business group. You use the individual segments of each grade structure to record the grade factors that are defined within a collective agreement. Once the grade structure is recorded, you can link it to a collective agreement and enter the required factor values for each reference grade in the Agreement Grades window.
